FitLink Duo

Terms of Service

Last updated: October 9, 2026

1. About the Service

FitLink Duo ("the Service") is a workout-partner matching app operated by FitLink Duo ("we" or "us"). By signing up for or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

3. Your account

You can sign up with email, Google, or LINE. Please provide accurate information and keep your login secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts may not be transferred, lent, or sold. If you notice unauthorized use, contact us right away.

4. Community guidelines (prohibited conduct)

When using the Service, you must not:

5. Reports, review, suspension, and appeals

You can block or report other users at any time. When we receive a report, we review the related profile, photos, and chat content. If you violate these Terms, we may issue a warning, remove content, or temporarily or permanently suspend your account depending on severity — without prior notice in serious or unlawful cases.

If you believe an action was a mistake, you can appeal from the suspension screen in the app or email contact@fitlinkduo.app. Where a crime or someone's safety is involved, we may share information with law enforcement as required by law.

6. Your content

You keep the rights to the photos, bio, messages, and other content you upload. You grant us a free license to store, display, and adapt (for example, resize) that content as needed to provide, maintain, and improve the Service. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where the law requires us to keep it. You must have the legal right to everything you upload.

7. Photo verification and Duo check-ins

Selfies submitted for photo verification are reviewed by our staff and used only to confirm that your photos are of you. Workout photos uploaded for Duo check-ins are shown to your Duo partner for confirmation. Please avoid capturing other people's faces or personal information.

8. Paid features (subscriptions and one-time purchases)

9. Points and virtual items

Points can only be earned by using the Service. They cannot be bought with money, exchanged for cash, or transferred to others. Titles, avatar frames, and other virtual items obtained with points are a right to use them within the Service, not property that can be bought or sold. Spending Duo shared points requires both partners' approval. Points and items obtained improperly will be removed. Points and virtual items expire when your account is deleted or permanently banned, or when the Service ends.

10. AI fitness assistant

Responses from the AI fitness assistant are generated automatically and may contain mistakes. They are for reference only and are not medical, nutritional, or professional training advice. Consider your own health before starting a new exercise or diet plan, and consult a professional when needed.

11. Meeting in person and exercise safety

We do not run background checks on users. When meeting a match, choose a public place, tell a friend or family member beforehand, and judge the risks yourself. Exercise carries a risk of injury — know your limits. Users are responsible for their own interactions with each other.

12. Changes to or ending the Service

We may add, change, suspend, or end all or part of the Service. If we end a paid feature, we'll announce it in the app in advance and handle it under Apple's or Google's rules.

13. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided as is, and we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. This does not apply to damage caused by our intent or gross negligence, or to liability that cannot be excluded under the laws where you live.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms. When we do, we'll announce the changes and their effective date via an in-app notice or on this page before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance for disputes relating to the Service. This does not limit any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the country or region where you live.
